Radiation Tablets?

We're having a surge in questions regarding potassium iodide tablets again.
Whenever there's a new radiation leakage in Japan or around a nuclear plant, we get questions from concerned customers regarding whether or not they should be buying those tablets.
Our experience has been that if you keep your thyroid strong on a daily basis, using proper nutrition and perhaps iodine/kelp supplementation, you will not really be helped much by potassium iodide.  Those were more for protecting weak or immature thyroids. The shelf life on the tablets is rather short, and the quantity of tablets was way more than you could use quickly enough.  We used to carry potassium iodide tablets, but discontinued them after the big Japan quake a few years ago.

Enjoying the Storms!

We don't get much rain in southern California, so when we heard that a monster rain storm was headed out way, we got pretty excited.  Yes, happy.  OK, so it would knock down some trees, and there would be mud and even mudslides, but the drought would be nearly over!!!
I was looking forward to a big power outage so I could use all my solar lights and solar batteries.  We got everything all charged up just in case.
No outage.  Just blessed rain and more rain and some gusty winds.  Loved it.  What a blessing!!!
But I wasn't at all scared because we were prepared.
Great feeling.

Mind/Body/Spirit connecton to foods in a disaster?

I have been following a very strict diet in order to regain my health.  GMOs, heavy metal and chemical pollutants, radiation, parasites, yeast infections.......you name it, I was affected by it.  And they all took a toll on my physical well-being.  So my diet has been largely ketogenic, and for the first time in 20 years I have been able to start to heal and to lose weight.
However, there is an emotional component to healing.  I find that eating foods I like actually increases my level of adrenaline.  Associating with comforting sounds, objects and even meals helps me ground myself, and again my adrenal levels go up.  When my diet is harshly restricted to where I am not eating anything comforting or emotionally warming, my adrenal energy levels sag.
So what does this have to do with disaster preparedness?

Taking a Worldwide Survey on a health question--need brief constructive responses

For more information, visit facebook site:  bereadytobewell       also  Be Ready To Be Well

Please friend us and like us on Be Ready To Be Well on facebook.  I am going to try to get some answers to our health questions from you as I take a survey around the world each week.  My readers are in 92 different countries, but we all suffer from similar pains and ailments.  I am looking for common connections so that we can start to find better answers to our health questions.

This week's survey:
Take your temperature with a thermometer under your tongue when you wake up, when you go to bed and in the middle of the night.  Make a chart for 1 week, checking daily.  Do you notice a temperature fluctuation?
For me, my temperature drops significantly during the night to 95 degrees Farenheit  (3.6 degrees too low).  My waking up temperature (basal temp) is 2 degrees too low, and my bedtime temp is 1 degree lower than the normal temp of 98.6.
I would like to know if anyone besides me is experiencing these abnormally low body temperatures.  Please let me hear from you!

For a couple of years now I've been hosting a free educational class at Be Ready Inc. on the daily use of high quality essential oils for personal purposes.  Only a few of my readers live in the San Diego North County where the classes are held, so we've started a facebook group for anyone around the world who would like to participate from a distance.  If you've been interested in finding out more without being pressured into buying anything, join our study group.  I'll have 3 groups:  for preppers preparing for emergencies with essential oils, for business builders who want support,  and for users/sharers.  So you can select which group you'd like to associate yourself with.  It's GREAT.  Please join us, and let us know where in the world you're tapping in from.

We finally got our new batch of Sagan water filter bottles in, with additional replacement filters.
The filter has been tested over and over for viruses, bacteria, 118 different chemicals, pool water, etc. and still amazes us with its results.  If you want to know more, go to bereadyinc.com    I use my bottle for health and wellness on a regular basis instead of waiting for some kind of disaster to strike.  It protects me daily from the toxins in drinking water.  We can ALL use that!

Be Ready to share Aloha and still be on a diet.

I spent my Christmas and New Years holiday time with three of my children and their families in Hawaii this year. We are very blessed to have family and our Be Ready Hawaii business here so that we get to mingle very closely with those who have spent their lives on these beautiful islands.  Hawaiian, Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, Portuguese, Korean, Samoan, Tongan, Tahitian, Caucasian........they're all in our in-law and family mix.  So Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinners were a real treat, as well as New Years Eve and New Years Day, not to mention the potluck for preschool's holiday program, the backyard barbecues and other invitations to dinner, or just eating out while on the road.
Kauai Shave Ice Hawaii | Sum Sum Summertime | PinterestHow is it possible to stick to a strict diet in these conditions, where every meal is a cultural treat? How do you politely refuse to taste a delicious entree, only because it has starches or sugary sauces or grains or dairy?  How do you avoid offense and maintain the diet?
I did pretty well, I think.  Politely interested and even empathetically concerned, these Hawaiian locals were very gracious.  I know they pitied me because I couldn't share in the cultural  and culinary treats and decided that they'd rather die young and happy rather than older and deprived.  And our choices for outings became very limited when they couldn't involve meals.
But after 3 weeks I feel I can face my doctor with my head held high.  My big "splurge" in all that time was some shaved ice without ice cream, and that was a conscious decision because it really felt "wrong" to turn my back on absolutely every treat we've always enjoyed together here as a family.
It's a decision I don't regret.  Sometimes we do ourselves a disservice by being so focused on our physical self that we forget how important the social and emotional connections are, and we can miss precious opportunities to experience those.
So Aloha to all of you.  Maintain balance in your relationship with food, doctors, family, traditions and friends.  I hope the New Year is good to all of you, my readers in many countries.  For more information, visit www.bereadyinc.com

Plumped up like a Roasted Chicken--from the ADDITIVES in it!!

Last night I suffered from insomnia and hot flashes again after having mostly gotten rid of them with dietary changes these last 3 months.   I weighed myself and had put on 5 lbs in 24 hours. Good Grief!!!  What had happened to me?!!
All About Rotisserie Chicken - Betty CrockerI started muscle testing myself to find answers.  Was it the blend of essential oils I had used for my knee pain?  Was it the calming blend I had created to help me sleep?  No to both.  Then what could it be?  Was it something I ate?  Yes.  What did I eat out of the ordinary?  For dinner I had picked up a rotisserie chicken at a grocery store I don't usually buy them from.  I ate a leg and a wing.  Was it the chicken?  Yes, but no........it was not the chicken itself exactly, but the additives and hormones the chicken had been plumped up with.  Overnight I too had been plumped up.  GROSS!!!   I feel so violated sometimes when I find out what is being put into our foods--even those we thought would be healthy.  Is that why I suffered from insomnia, hot flashes and inability to lose weight for 20 years?   I think that it was a major player in my dis-ease and a factor that enabled other imbalances to occur.   And to think I fed the same hormone-laden poultry to all my family all those years.  It just makes me sick------quite literally. It's good I've got essential oils to help me detox today.

Storms, Earthquakes.....Are you ready when they strike near you?

Today I heard of three separate California earthquakes, and that's after having a major earthquake there just 2 weeks ago.  Japan and Indonesia also had major earthquake readings a few days ago.  Tonight we're supposed to get a major rainstorm with 75-125 mph winds and 1-3" of downpour.  Sounds like power outages and road blockages in the making.  Make sure you have solar lights charged up and plenty of essential oils on hand for emotional strain and physical effects of any damage the storm could do to you or to your ability to get to a doctor. It's just a really good idea to have solar power and solar lights, the best water filters and a good library of essential oils that you use on a regular basis so that whenever anything gets interrupted, life moves forward more smoothly.  You can even collect that rain water for drinking water if you have the AquaPail or the XStream Straw ready.  I use them daily.      For more information, visit www.bereadyinc.com

TerraShield Outdoor Blend for knee pain? Who knew?!

TerraShield http://www.mydoterra.com/wholehealthessentials1
For more information, visit www.bereadytobewell.com

This morning I strained a ligament in my knee while I was running uphill.  It was sore all day and I've been limping around in a knee brace.  I muscle tested to see which essential oil blend I would need for the pain, and the answer was TerraShield from doTERRA.  It's their outdoor/repellent blend.  I had no idea it would actually help a ligament strain as well.  These oils are amazing!!!

Challenging my readers in 90 countries to LIGHT THE WORLD

There is too much contention everywhere.  Why do we spend so much time tearing each other down rather than building each other up?  Prepare not only to survive, but to thrive when hard times come by serving others around you for no hope of reward or recognition.  Lift someone else up, and you yourself will feel lifted, your burdens lighter.           see https://youtu.be/mJmAV0gTp_Q
I have readers in about 90 different countries, and I present this challenge to all of you.  No matter where you live, there is something you can do for someone else.  For those of you who are Christian, as I am, there is a challenge presented to us to do something each day from Dec 1 to Christmas Day to spread light wherever you are by imitating what Jesus Christ did to lift others.  You can see the advent calendar of daily challenges on mormon.org/christmas.  Several millions of us around the world are taking on this challenge.  Join us.  If you are not Christian, do something good in your own way to # Light the World. and make lives better, which in turn makes your own life better.
